Spill the Tea is a project created by a team of students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. The recent spread of COVID-19 has resulted in a wave of fake news and misinformation, and we are concerned about the potential effects it could have on Singaporeans as a whole. We also believe that individuals, especially young adults and teenagers, should take a more active role in correcting fakes news and curbing its spread. 

 

Spill the Tea was created with this in mind; while working on this project, we researched Singapore’s existing measures, consulted our professor, Professor Ang Peng Hwa, and interviewed Dr Carol Soon, the Vice-Chairperson of the Media Literacy Council.
